Hello,

I am Mami Hariyama, a ballet teacher and studio owner in Manhattan.

My ballet studio, which is now in Midtown Manhattan, will be my 20th year in operation.

​

​

I can not count how many ballet lessons I have taught, but I had about 700 students and hosted 32 school performances over those 20 years, 

I took students to International Competitions, We performed on the cruise, I have hosted many Summer Camps and Intensives, also hosted intensive workshops for pre-professionals.

I think have done a lot of challenges in the past. 

​

In my 20th year, I have something that I would like to do.

Can I do it? Would it be possible for me to do it?

​

​

I would like to start something different; hosting studio sessions where more people can interact with each other and enjoy dance, music, food and cultures.

I would like to call this NY Dance Artistry - Fun Sessions and try to host it regularly.

​

The goal is create a collaboration -  enjoying dance, music, culture, and food.

I would like to call this NY Dance Artistry - Fun Session and try to host it regularly. 

And there are more reasons that I think of :

​

 

  • A community where artists and audience can casually participate

  • A place for dancers and artists to show and express their work

  • A place where young people can participate in performances and gain experience.

  • A place to create new ideas

  • A place to introduce arts, cultures and food

  • A place to share good times 

  • A place to let people experience dance and music up close

  • A place to meet new people

I can not stop thinking about it.

Thinking of what music and dance

What kind of collaboration could happen.

Something amazing could be created in here.

What if amazing artists join us!

It would be so fun just thinking about it.

​

​

I want to make it real! 

But it would be very difficult to do by myself.

​

​

I would like to ask for your cooperation and sponsorship to ensure the continuation and success of these events.

I would like to keep low charge for the audiences but I would like to make this session as creative and professional as possible. I also would like to be able to pay those professionals who join and perform. 

​

I am looking for:

A lot has happened in the past 20 years. There are things that made me happy, emotional, and made me proud of what I do, but there are also things that are tough and difficult. There are also post-coronavirus struggles.

​

I have been putting as much energy as I can into educating and presenting the joy of art through ballet. This is my challenge and my purpose in life, and I will continue to do so as long as I am in this career. I hope that I can share a wonderful time with you all during the studio session.

​

そんな場所を作りたい！

​

こんにちは。

マンハッタンはミッドタウンでバレエスタジオを主催する針山真実です。

今年自身のバレエクラス開講20年目に突入します。

​

​

いつの間にやら丸19年！

これまでに多くの皆さんに通っていただき、教えたバレエレッスンの数は数え切れませんが、約700名ほどの生徒を持ち、32回のスクールパフォーマンスを主催することが出来ました。

国内外のバレエコンクールにも生徒と共に出向きましたし、船の上でのパフォーマンス、夏の強化合宿も毎年開催、プロを目指すダンサーたちの集中ワークショップなど、さまざまなことにチャレンジしてきました。

​

​

そして2024年はとうとう20年目！

やりたいことがあります。

できるのか・・・どうなのか・・・

考えていては、それだけで年を取ります。汗

​

​

それは、みなさんと楽しい時間を共有すること！

皆さまに気軽に交流を持っていただき、ダンスや音楽といったアート、そして文化を身近に楽しんで頂けるスタジオセッションを開催し、楽しい時間を過ごすこと！

これをNY Dance Artistry - Fun Sessionと名付け継続的に開催したいと思います。

​

楽しいだけではない、わたしの考えているいくつかのメリット、意図もあります。

​

  • 赤ちゃんから大人まで誰もが気軽に参加出来る！

  • ダンサーやアーティストの活動の場所になる！

  • アーティストたち、参加した皆さんの交流の場になる！

  • 若者や学生も積極的にパフォーマンスに参加出来る経験の場になる！

  • 新しいアイディアやコラボレーションを創造していく場所になる！

  • 芸と文化だけでなく、食の紹介の場所としても！

  • ダンスや音楽をもっと身近に！間近に楽しんでもらう！

  • 芸術、文化、食に触れる子どもたちの教養の場！

想像しはじめると止まらない！

こんな音楽やあんなダンスが出来たらいいなぁ。

こんなコラボはどうかなぁ。

コラボして面白い斬新なことがしたい。

新しいことが生まれるかも！

スゴイ人が参加してくれたらどうしよう！

想像は止まりません。

​

この取り組みを想像・空想だけで終わりたくありません。

わたし1人では現実に限界があります。

​

​

このイベントに参加してくださるプロの方にはお支払いをしていきたいです。

より良いイベントにするために機材もセットアップしたいです。

気軽に楽しめることを目的にするため入場料は低価格に抑えながらも、中身はしっかりしたいです。

これまで嬉しいこと、感動的なこと、やっていて良かったと思える出来事、しかし厳しいこと、難しいこともあり、コロナ後の苦悩もあります。

わたしのように微々たる力しかない者に大きな事は出来ません。でも微力ながらバレエを通した教育と芸術の素晴らしさを伝えるため出来るだけの精力を注ぎ、続けてきました。

それがわたしの挑戦であり生き甲斐でもあり、現役でいる限りコツコツと続けていきたいと思います。
