At NY Dance Artistry, we believe that learning extends far beyond the dance studio.

Our Work-Study & Internship Program offers individuals an opportunity to become part of our studio community while gaining hands-on experience in dance education, studio operations, and performance production.

Whether you are a dance enthusiast, an experienced dancer, a recent graduate, or a professional looking for a new experience, we welcome individuals who share our passion for dance and enjoy being part of a creative and supportive environment.

This program is an opportunity to contribute to our studio while continuing to learn, grow, and experience the world of dance in New York.

01. WORK-STUDY OPPORTUNITIES

Be Part of Our Studio Community

Work-Study participants assist with various activities and daily operations at NY Dance Artistry in exchange for complimentary or discounted dance classes, according to individual arrangements.

​

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Class Assistance

Supporting teachers during children's ballet classes, helping students, and assisting with classroom activities.

• Studio Maintenance

Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio environment.

• Performance Support

Assisting with preparations for performances, rehearsals, studio events, and other special activities.

Through these experiences, participants gain a better understanding of the daily operations of a dance studio and the teamwork involved in creating a positive learning environment.

02. INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Explore Dance Education & Studio Operations

Our Internship Program offers practical experience for individuals interested in dance education, studio management, and the performing arts.

Interns may have opportunities to participate in:

• Assisting teachers during children's classes

• Supporting daily studio maintenance and organization

• Helping prepare for performances and special events

• Learning about the behind-the-scenes operations of a dance studio

• Supporting the studio community and its activities

We welcome applications from students and non-students alike. Previous experience in dance, education, or working with children is appreciated, but enthusiasm, responsibility, and a willingness to learn are equally important.

Specific responsibilities and arrangements will be discussed individually.

04. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Share Your Passion. Bring Your Enthusiasm.

We welcome applications from individuals who are enthusiastic, responsible, and interested in becoming part of our studio community.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently residing in or near the New York City area, or planning to relocate

• Previous ballet or dance experience is preferred

• Enjoy working with children

• Responsible, dependable, and organized

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• English and Japanese language abilities are a plus

You do not need to be a current student to apply. We welcome adults, graduates, and individuals from different backgrounds who are passionate about dance.

05. PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

Commitment & Participation

To ensure a meaningful and consistent experience for both participants and our studio community, the following guidelines apply:

• Minimum commitment: Three months

• Location: New York City area

• Schedule: To be discussed based on studio needs and individual availability

• Responsibilities: Class assistance, studio maintenance, and performance support

• Dance class benefits: Complimentary or discounted classes, depending on the individual arrangement

All program details, including schedules, responsibilities, and class benefits, will be discussed and agreed upon before participation.

06. INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS & VISA INFORMATION

We welcome inquiries from individuals interested in experiencing the world of dance in New York.

Please note that NY Dance Artistry does not provide visa sponsorship.

For individuals who independently qualify for an appropriate visa, we may be able to provide a recommendation letter or supporting documentation upon request, where appropriate.

Applicants are responsible for confirming their own immigration eligibility and obtaining the necessary authorization to participate in any activities associated with the program.
